Mike Healey  is an attorney based in Pittsburgh who  is listed in Best Lawyers in America.(Woodward/White, Inc.) for Labor and Employment law and has been named one of the best lawyers in Pittsburgh  . In the last 10 years Best Lawyers In America has named him Lawyer of the Year several times in Western Pennsylvania for representation of labor unions. He concentrates his work representing labor unions and in civil liberties litigation. The labor union work focuses on court litigation and  before agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and in collective bargaining. 

The civil liberties litigation is focused on first amendment and election protection issues. He has served as County counsel for the Democratic Party on election protection issues through a number of election cycles. He is a committee person in the 14th Ward and a member of the 14th Ward Democratic Club. He has also served on the Boards of and/ or represented  a number of organizations including AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee, the  ACLU, Pittsburgh United, UE Research and Education Fund, and the Battle of Homestead Foundation. He is a member of the Academy of Trial lawyers of Allegheny County.

He was a Commissioner on the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission from August 2001 through December 2004. Previously he served for several years as a hearing officer for the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board. He was the recipient of the Thomas Merton Center’s New Person Award for peace and social justice work (2007 and 2010), the 2005 ACLU Marjorie Mason Award recognizing civil liberties work, and in 2005 a proclamation from Pittsburgh City Council  for  civil liberties work. In September of 2010, the Pennsylvania Labor History Society presented him with the “Mother Jones” award recognizing his work on behalf of unions and working people. Mike is a frequent speaker on labor  and civil liberties issues to CLE Programs for lawyers, to labor unions, community groups, and college programs. He is often interviewed by the media on these issues.
