
It’s time to gear up for the 2017 election cycle! Candidates who are considering running are invited to apply for the endorsement of the Allegheny County Democratic Committee. The party will meet on Sunday, March 5th from 10am-3pm at the IBEW Local #5 on the South Side to consider candidates for endorsement.
If you are considering running for one of the following offices in 2017, you are urged to apply for the endorsement of the Allegheny County Democratic Committee:
Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas
Magisterial District Judge
Allegheny County Sheriff
Allegheny County Council
Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh City Council
Pittsburgh School Board
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates must first submit a letter of intent to Democratic Headquarters by 5pm on February 3rd, 2017. This letter should include personal contact information for the candidates and for any authorized campaign staff. The submission of a filing fee is also required by 5pm on Friday, February 10th, 2017. If you are running for a local office such as township commissioner, city councilperson, etc. and NOT in the city of Pittsburgh, you’re urged to contact your local Democratic Chair. You can always contact Headquarters if you have questions about running or getting involved in YOUR Democratic Party!
